Charbroil Gas Barbecues And New HeatWave Burners

In addition to selling gas grills since the 1950's the Charbroil brand sells rubs, sauces and barbecue related accessories. The WC Bradley company is Charbroil and is many other things also.C. Bradley Co. - a company involved in various commercial activities. Progressing upwards from the open fire outside a cave the first barbecues used charcoal in a cast tank. In the 1960's barbeques became added. Nowadays Charbroil grills are still going strong and doing what they were always doing for more than half a century, with the difference that they are offering their customers even more diversity, more power, bbq grill replacement parts and more options. Charcoal barbecues could also be used as high, direct heat grills but had peaked by the mid-1980's. They were loosing ground to the more convenient gas grills especially after portable propane gas tanks were introduced. In 1995 gas grills overtook the old-fashioned charcoal grills, announcing the end of the era of the charcoal grills.

The Charbroil - like most other barbecues - has gas grill burner tuber, range top side burners on a cart with a consistently evolving ignition. Commercial grills are still aimed to sell at the residential backyard user as opposed to restaurants or commercial establishments; the name of the model series just invites the implication that the product is made better, more durable than other products. The difference between Charbroil commercial and other model grills is primarily features.

Range top burners are not generally available without upgrading to the commercial models with two or more bbq burners.Commercial charbroil gas grills pull a lot more BTU's and are hotter grills as a result. The cooking area on commercial models is near double the size as well. There are differences in the make and durability of the lids, fireboxes and other parts in favor of the commercial units. One can easily see what the differences between the commercial and non-commercial grills are.

Sear zones are the newest technology in Charbroil models utilizing ceramic burners that pressurize gas within the burner for intense heat. IR were invented and introduced in the 1980's by a company named TEC, which held the patent for their invention. The infrared grills are based on the principle of heating through radiation (radiant heating). High temperature radiant grilling locks flavor inside the grilled meats for incredible flavor. Operations made everything more efficient.

Charbroil is the only gas grill company that uses to completely divergent styles of infrared grill. Like the original TEC burner used with some Char-broil models there is a separate sear zone above a pressurized gas burner that reached temperatures over 1000 degrees in just a few minutes without closing the lid to capture heat. Newer Charbroils used new heat shield designs to magnify heat from below a single, low-BTU barbeque burner. Different infrared grill parts are used in separate charbroil models.

A decade ago a grill was a product that cooked very hot at the cooking surface, a barbeque was a cooker that cooked with low, slow wood/charcoal fuel and the middle ground of gas cookers that cook in the 350 – 500 degree range were called gas broilers or char-broilers. Today in the discourse of superficial knowledge we refer to all outdoor cookers using barbecue, barbecue and grill interchangeably as though synonyms. Many other companies nowadays manufacture barbecue grills in the USA with specialized features and heat settings. Some of the leading brands in the industry are Nexgrill, Thermos (acquired by Charbroil), Weber, DCS, Fire Magic, Lynx, Member's Mark and many others. Charcoal barbecues are still available as are smokers, barbecues, gas barbeques and gas grills. Charbroil remains competitive in the marketplace with its new infrared models making the best technology on the planet available at lower prices than any competitors. Dealing with TEC to get this technology available was a brilliant and profitable move for Char-broil. Although known for low-priced barbecues the company also makes sauces, rubs and grilling tools.
